    Resource Recycling Promotion Print
      Update Time:2025-08-15 11:11

    (I) Separate the "paper" carefully, and concentrate on environment protection.

    1. Although paper containers are made of paper pulp, they are usually coated with a layer of PE (polyethylene) film or aluminum foil to prevent water and oil leakage. They cannot be recycled together with newspapers, cartons, and paper boxes.
    2. The Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau reminds you that used paper containers should be recycled separately from paper, and first wipe or rinse them briefly, then stack and flatten them to reduce the volume after simple processing, and finally hand them over to resource recycling trucks or recyclers for recycling so that resources can be recycled.

(II) There are hundreds of flat packaging materials, reducing plastic waste and reuse resources

    1. In order to improve the recycling efficiency of plastic flat packaging materials and reduce the impact of plastic waste on the environment, the Ministry of Environment has included "plastic pads" and "blister packing" in the announcement of recyclable waste. The Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau reminds you to pack them and hand them over to the recycling trucks along the route.
    2. What is plastic flat packaging material: Plastic pads and blister packaging commonly used in commodities, such as the outer blister packaging that is bonded to the cardboard in toy packaging, and plastic pads commonly used as separators in food gift boxes.

(III) Properly separate waste lithium batteries for recycling to avoid mixing them in garbage bags and causing fires

    1. If there are dry cells or lithium batteries in the items, please remove them before recycling. Store the waste dry cells and waste lithium batteries in different containers to prevent leakage of dry cells electrolytes that may affect the safety of lithium batteries. They can be properly recycled and handed over to designated recycling points (hypermarkets, supermarkets, chain convenience stores, etc.) or to the recycling teams and recycling truck personnel.
    2. The Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau reminds you that waste lithium batteries should be recycled separately and be careful to avoid impact during recycling. Do not throw waste batteries and waste lithium batteries directly into garbage trucks at will, because batteries are easily ignited and burn after being squeezed, causing safety concerns for the people on the truck.

(IV) Green recycling, light source regeneration

    1. Traditional lighting is easily harmful to the human body due to the leakage of mercury vapor! In response to the international trend of limiting mercury and the government's energy-saving policy, traditional mercury-containing lighting will gradually be replaced by LED lighting. Please replace LED lighting as soon as possible.
    2. Lighting sources are not easy decomposed over a long period of time. If they are discarded carelessly, it will cause environmental pollution and waste accumulation problems. People should put the old lamps (bulbs) into the original packaging to prevent them from breaking, and then hand them over to the cleaning team's resource recycling truck, registered qualified recyclers or lighting source dealers for reverse recycling (original purchase point).
